Q day 2013

This morning the kids met some friends at Chuck E. Cheese's, where all games only take one token to play, and each token costs a quarter.

Next we went to the library, where E found a "Q" book. (How is it that so many grown-ups will not be QUIET in the library?)

For lunch we had burritos, chips, and queso at Qdoba.

E spotted some Quikrete at Home Depot.

Later we quenched our thirst with quart-sized drinks from QuikTrip.

The kids posed with quilts made with love by their Mama :)

Then the we played a flash version of Q*bert that I found online here: Free Qbert

G day 2013

breakfast = biscuits & gravy (and grapes)

We visited Gilcrease.  Pictures are not allowed inside the museum, but E found some Mayan glyphs in the children's hands-on room, and G found some antique guns in the basement archives.

We went out to the garden for some Gatorade.

And then the kids acted goofy in front of the "G" gate.

For lunch we went to Goldie's.

G loves his grandma.

Next we did a little shopping at the Girl Scout Store.

At home the kids worked on some gardening projects with their daddy. It will be fun to watch these three grow:

dinner = meatballs with gravy and green beans

bedtime story = George Shrinks by William Joyce

And then... glo stick fun :)

D day 2013

breakfast = powered sugar donuts

We went to a Drillers day game downtown with Daddy.

We drank some Dr. Pepper, ate Dippin' Dots, and saw a defensive double play. T & E were very disappointed that the splash pad was decommissioned.

Dumpster dive??

E, wearing a dress, demonstrated a sign language "d" in front of the doors of Dick's Sporting Goods.

T loves his dog.

We watched some Duck Dynasty. (The episode may have included some duct tape.)

A day 2013

This morning we went to see "Aphrodite and the Gods of Love", a special exhibit from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts on display at Philbrook.

(Learn more about this exhibit at the Philbrook Museum of Art website.)

We went out to the garden under some arches

 and admired the architecture.

When we came back into the air conditioning, the kids found some armor.

E found this month's MyMuseum piece in the Antiquities Gallery. Amphora is an ancient artifact from Athens.

Art admiration.

Abstract art by Native Americans

At the grocery store, the boys showed their angry eyebrows in the apple aisle.

J found an Aperture Science logo in his Portal 2 game.

E watched Avatar: The Last Airbender.
